St Ives Harbour - 1930s

I'd hazard a guess that this photo was taken around the 1930s, or possibly a little earlier. There is still a substantial fishing fleet and the boats seem are largely traditional luggers.

In the background you can see the harbour wall and Wharf Road. This did not exist previously and the sand of the harbour ran almost to the doors of the buildings along the quay.
