View down one of the best known of the streets in the 'Downalong' district of St Ives, the Digey. This photo dates back to the early 1900s. A few things have changed; it's a bit tidire now, cars can drive down the street and there are wheelie bins everywhere now!

The name Digey is derived from Di-chy meaning the dye house.

This photograph was taken by Frank Lake. These were published as postcards and sold in his store in the early 1900s.
