Beautiful archive photograph looking down Barnoon Hill, one of St Ives' character-filled alleyways that leads on to the Down-a-long / harbour area.
The church of St Ia dominates the view, which has changed little over the last hundred years since the photo was taken. I'd guess this particular shot dates back to somehwere between 1890 and 1900. It looks like the front of the cottage with the steps has been demolished but further down things remain the same.
