Newlyn Walking Tour

The fishing port of Newlyn is just a mile to the west of Penzance. For years this little town has been largely overlooked and seen more as somewhere to pass through on the way to Mousehole. However, dig a little deeper, beyond the industrial harbourside an you'll discover a charming jumble of old streets.

In recent years Newlyn has seen some recognition as a place to visit. With its prime location for sourcing fresh fish a number of cafes and restaurants have sprung up. Of course, having any kind of appeal in Cornwall is a double edged sword and many of the old cottages have been bought up as holiday lets.

In this video I take a pretty extensive walk around the old streets and lanes of Newlyn and also take a look at the old harbour.
