Looking down one of the little alleyways of St Mawes that lead to the harbour and Percuil river beyond.
Often described as the "capital of the Roseland", St Mawes is a pretty fishing village that has somewhat outgrown itself. Beyond the seafront cottages are Georgian townhouses and further up the hillside, large detached 1930s houses.
There has always been money around St Mawes, and this is still evident today.
