Looking out of the window of one of the Crowns Engine Houses in Botallack. It is hard to imagine a more dramatic location than being perched near the foot of the cliffs just above the raging Atlantic. It is even more difficult to imagine what it must have been like a hundred years ago when this was a place of work.
The drama of this location was not lost on the Poldark location manager as this spot featured as Wheal Leisure in the TV series.
