A fairly dramatic splash over the pier at Portreath on a sunny winter afternoon. There wasn't a huge swell running on this particular swell but the splashes were quite big showing just how exposed this harbour-mouth is.
The little white hut on the pier end is the "Monkey Hut". This was completely destroyed in the 2014 storms and is notable by its absence from my other Portreath pier splash photo.
I'm not sure if this was rebuilt with the original stones but it's great to see this iconic little landmark back.
