The engine house for Marriot's shaft at South Wheal Frances near Redruth.
At the end of the 19th century Marriot's shaft went down 6,000 feet. There is an exposed, grid covered part of the shaft in front of the engine house. I dropped a stone down it and it took a while to make a noise!
