Porthluney beach is located a few miles along the coast from Mevagissey. Often referred to as Caerhayes (Castle) beach it is located, and I believe belongs to, the Caerhayes estate.
The wide sandy beach is popular with families and also has the added bonus of a ban on any kind of motorised watercraft. It is also a fairly consistent surf spot outside the summer.
