Godrevy Beach

Looking northwards across Godrevy beach on a low tide. Godrevy is the northernmost of hayles "3 miles of golden sand". It is separated from the better known Gwithian beach by Red River, which is no longer red! It did used to be, as recently as 20 years ago when mine spoils coloured the water a deep orangey-red, which in turn caused the sea to turn red.

Besides the lighthouse other points of interest here are the geology of the rocks and the consistent surf.
