Discovering42 - Bodmin

Discovering42 is an award winning science and art museum set in Priory Park on the outskirts of Bodmin.

Using art and traditional hands on interactivity the exhibition aims to engage both adults and children with physics, engineering and environmental issues. The exhibition is about as environmentally friendly as possible, made almost entirely from up-cycled waste and unwanted objects, and this includes the walls, floor and ceiling.

If you’re looking for something to get the whole family engaged, this exhibition is for you. Great for all ages to learn through play, prepare to be baffled and amazed! Set among a maze of surreal passages visitors can enoy quirky scientific peculiarities such as water defying gravity, the magnetic marble run and a pedal powered record player built from an old washing machine motor.

Being a fully immersive / interactive display there is a precautionary note: there are loud noises and strobe lighting effects, several exhibits contain small parts such as marbles and are not recommended for under 3’s and there are strong magnets.
