St Carantoc's Church in Crantock sits on a site dating back to the Norman conquest. In fact some of the oldest parts of the church date back to this time.

Over the following few centuries the church fell into disrepair with the tower collapsing onto the church in 1412.

The tower was rebuilt but the church again fell into disrepair. Fortunately St Carantoc's was much restored in the early 1900s.

One notable feature of the church which can be clearly seen in this photo is the medieval stone coffin.
