Geranium cottage is a modernised, character detached three bedroom cottage with a fully enclosed courtyard garden, situated on Church lane just off the main street in the middle of the ancient Stannary town of Lostwithiel Cornwall. With the exception of food and personal toiletries we think pretty much everything is provided for you and you can relax as soon as you arrive, Electricity, heating, fridge etc will be on so there should be nothing to do but decide who has which room and unpack accordingly. Although there are excellent road links via the A30 and A38, Lostwithiel is also a mainline station and the property is within easy walking distance. whilst being a very quick walk to the station it is far enough from the railway not to be troubled by noise and with the exception of bell ringing practice for a couple of hours on Wednesdays and the Church bells on Sunday mornings and special occasions you can sit out in the private courtyard garden which is not overlooked in any way ,pretty much undisturbed. Like most properties in Lostwithiel there is no parking at the property itself you can stop outside to load-unload and parking is Free on streets and in the car parks.

I myself live about twenty miles from Geranium cottage on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It is my intention very much not to intrude in any way on your holiday and very much leave you to simply enjoy the cottage. For the cyclist there are routes and bridleways to explore with dedicated cycle trails at Cardinham Woods ( 7miles) and Lanhydrock (5 miles) catering for all abilities. Both these venues also offer marked walking trails on firm tracks. There is a wide choice of stately homes and gardens to visit, such as Lanhydorck house, Cotehele, on the banks of the Tamar,The Lost Gardens of Heligan ( 15 miles) and The Eden Project(6 miles) Lostwithiel has a train station letting you leave the car and explore Plymouth and Devon to the East and Truro,St Ives and Panzance to the West. You can easily drive to Charlestown with its tall ships and echoes of Poldark, as well as Port Isaac, the setting for Doc Martin. Sailing dinghy can be hired at Siblyback Lake and if you have your own kayak, the tidal River Fowey runs through Lostwithiel and invites you to explore some beautiful scenery paddling down river past St Winnow to Fowey town and the estuary beyond
