    City centre was lovely!

City centre was lovely! We enjoyed meandering through the cathedral (which was very grand, the architecture absolutely brought me to tears, managed to light a prayer candle for lent, also they have an ongoing exhibit about awareness of abuse in the church) and the cornwall museum is closeby :D they have wacky artefacts. The coffee and cornish pasties and the pastries are the bomb dot com but the other grub not so much, i mean, it's just typical british fare innit haha also truro station connects easily to penzance and the other more touristy bits. Transportationwise, quite hard, buses are a little but unreliable even with the time table. Not much uber drivers but the taxis are popping. There are taxis around the station and they have a taxi calling app and there are cards that you can get from the accommodation. Pretty old timey but charming.

Truro is an attractive small city and it’s easy to find parking and to walk around the shops and see the cathedral. There are plenty of places to have coffee or lunch. The bus station is right beside the shopping area, which has a large Marks and Spencer’s, which has a cafe, a large branch of Waterstones as well as a good selection of independent shops and an indoor market.

Great base for exploring Cornwall but not sure what it’s like in summer. We parked in the town with ease but we visited in November. Masses of shops. It is the county town so is a magnet for shoppers. Cathedral and Cornwall Museum worth a visit. Hall for Cornwall has a variety of shows. Thoroughly enjoyed the pasty shop for lunch. Check roadworks though. A30 was closed intoTrurofor the whole weekend whilst work is going on building the new by pass. It took us ages to follow the detour.

I did want to explore the town a bit more, especially the cathedral, but this visit was to see a show and I had to return the next day. I had a meal at an Italian restaurant literally up the road from the hotel, it was decent enough.

Truro is a lovely place to visit.

Truro is a lovely place to visit. Old and new buildings to see and plenty of places to go. Resturants of many different cuisines and a nice open area to sit and chill with a coffee. There is a beach, about 7 miles away, (Perranporth) which is lovely and has the traiditional fish and chips, kiss me quick hats etc and you're not too far away from the north side so Newquay etc is all available within 45 to 60 minutes in the car. Supermarkets are a plenty in and around Truro too. The catherdral is a must to visit. A beautiful building and well worth some time spent.

Beautiful cathedral- transports you to a peaceful haven. Shopping area very mixed - independent shops, higher end and not so ! Parking limited in town Not too far to coast and a fabulous massive Waitrose out of the town centre!

This was a beautiful, tastefully decorated property. It was pristine and comfortable. Our host was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfasts were great with locally sourced produce where possible. A very good find and we would highly recommend it as a quiet base to a holiday in Cornwall. It was easy to find off the main road between Bodmin and Truro, so well situated to explore any corner of the county.

The owner was really lovely and welcoming. I didn't feel like a stayed at a hotel...felt like their house. Little things like pillow spray, sweets, bottled water, bath products. Really really lovely. I would definitely stay here again!! And the food in the restaurant was amazing! And they noticed I was a vegetarian at dinner and they had a vegetarian breakfast waiting for me in the morning. Very nice people, very nice hotel!!

Pengelly Farmhouse has a lovely home from home feel. It is also in a great location; although you are off the beaten track you’re still no more than a 20 minute drive from all the local attractions etc. Ben is a brilliant host and is full of the best recommendations for Cornwall! We couldn’t have asked for more. Also, the breakfast was fantastic!!! Delicious start to every day. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Cottage is beautiful, home from home. Enclosed garden, very dog friendly and lovely location for morning and evening sniffing walks for the pup. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner, Liz. Very lovely lady. There were essential provisions left for us, which meant we didn't have to go to the shop on the first day. Great base for days out, visiting different parts of Cornwall and close to city centre.

The location in Truro was very good, an easy walk to supermarkets, pubs, shops and the cathedral. Truro is a good base for exploring Cornwall. The cottage had a lot of character and charm and the decor was well coordinated. The beds were very comfortable. It was good having a car park, even though access to it was a bit tight. Communication from the hosts was excellent- prompt and detailed.

So fortunate to book one of the last rooms available at this absolutely beautiful decorated hotel. Had the pleasure of meeting the very gracious owner. The courtyard was beautiful & a very generous continental breakfast, which was amazingly included in he price. Definitely booking here for a longer stay next time I'm visiting the Playhouse, Hall of Cornwall.

What an amazing place. Right on the river, so peaceful. The cottage is clean, cosy and has everything you need. The owners were lovely and very helpful. The location is perfect for exploring Cornwall or you can just sit by the river and relax. The pool here is such a bonus. We honestly feel very lucky to have found this place. We will be back very soon.

We had absolutely wonderful 3 days at this delightful little B&B. The house is renovated beautifully, room was cozy with a huge bathroom, breakfast was delicious. The area is just lovely, super quiet and close to anywhere you want to go around to explore Cornwall. We saw bunch of bunnies, birds and a fox at the property. Will definitely stay here again!

everything was perfect! Ross, the owner was always there to help if needed and everything was so up to date and it was nice to be more out in the country rather than in Truro. We visited many places and I loved Mevagissy which we visited on our way home. All of Cornwall is wonderful!!
