Southgate Arch - Launceston

The only one of three arches to remain in what is left of Launceston's town wall.

The Southgate Arch was built in the 13th century with further additions in the 16th.

As the strategic gateway to Cornwall Launceston was well fortified and is the only Cornish town to have had a town wall
