Porthmeor beach - St Ives

The view down over St Ives' Porthmeor beach from the Island. This was taken at about 6 o'clock in the morning which explains why there is barely a soul on the beach on a beautiful summer's day.

Porthmeor is generally considered St Ives' premiere beach. Although you wouldn't guess from this photo it is also well known for its surf.

The other big draw to the beach is the Tate St Ives art gallery, just behind the beach in the middle of the photo. Personally, I'd say the best thing to look at in the Tate is the view outside!
