Taking place in July, the Boconnoc Steam Fair promises steam and vintage based fun for all of the family, whatever their ages. Dedicated to the survival of steam-powered motor vehicles, engines and even carousels, the fair offers visitors the chance to get up close to museum-quality pieces of Victorian and Edwardian engineering and even ride some of them. The largest displayed weighs in at over 20 tons.
Having already celebrated its 20th incarnation, the Boconnoc Steam Fair looks to be going from strength to strength, and now extends across three days. Those looking to experience the entire weekend are able to take advantage of the onsite camping, while day visitors are also more than welcome. Tickets are available at the gates. Taking place on the Boconnoc Estate near Fowey, visitors will also find some extraordinary model displays, arts and craft stalls, and a drinks tent for relaxing in.
