Dog Friendly Accommodation

Dog friendly holidays

Here at the Cornwall Guide we are big dog lovers and wouldn't dream of going on holiday without our four-legged family members. So we understand how important it is for you to bring your pets on holiday with you.
Gone are the stress and guilty feelings of leaving 'Fido' behind whilst you enjoy a fabulous Cornish holiday. Pampered pooches are very much the norm these days and as such we offer a wide choice of dog friendly accommodation from cottages to pet friendly hotels.

It is a well known fact that dogs love beaches and if you're looking for beaches then you can't do much better than Cornwall. What could be better than endless digging, wide open space and waves to splash in?!
What will make you (and 'Rover') even happier is that quite a few of these are dog friendly beaches. If you can visit outside the holiday season (May to September) you will find that dogs are allowed on nearly every beach in Cornwall.

And it isn't just beaches where dogs are welcome these days. A growing number of cafes, pubs, restaurants and attractions have opened their doors to well-behaved dogs. Along with the Eden Project many National Trust properties and gardens allow dogs .

A dog friendly holiday in Cornwall really comes into its own when its time for walkies. Whilst your dog will absolutely love running wild on the beach nothing beats exploring the stunning Cornish landscape.
All of the South West Coast Path can be walked with a dog, and with over 200 miles of coast that should be enough exercise for both of you! And if you need a break en-route you shouldn't have much trouble finding a good pub where dogs are welcome.

The wide open spaces of Cornwall's moorland also offer your four-legged friend an opportunity to run off the leash.

Whilst Cornwall is generally as safe as anywhere else in the UK (i.e. very safe) there are a few unique hazards that are worth bearing in mind whilst out exploring. Care should be taken around steep cliffs and mine shafts, which are usually clearly signposted.

Many of our properties are able to accommodate multiple pets, however, we suggest you contact the owner to confirm this before booking. Also, our dog friendly accommodation probably won't provide you with doggy essentials. So don't forget to bring leads, dog basket, toys, food etc with you.

Bringing your pets on holiday and renting a dog friendly holiday cottage in Cornwall couldn't be easier. It will also work out cheaper than leaving furry friend in the kennels. Pet friendly Cornwall provides a fantastic holiday experience for both owners and dogs alike.
